Lancia Delta
We wandered and explored the tiny backstreets of Kyoto fascinated by the local area, the small houses, specialised stores, and people going about their daily routine. The winter sun was low in the sky, shadow began to consume everything around us. We walked further along a narrow street and off to one side something caught our eye. It shone bright like a light, the burning yellow of a legendary car.
The Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo II. It sat alone in an unsecured garage with a dominating presence. This one had some interesting modifications, suggesting it has seen plenty of track time. Wide semi slick tyres wrapped around some lightweight wheels. Large red Brembo brake calipers. A roll cage and some very racy Recaro seats. A beautiful and purposeful track warrior, paying homage to the cars original racing roots.
