HSV GTSR W1 & Holden FJ Utility

Australian Made Automotive Photography

Happy Australia Day!

Here’s some all-Aussie content to celebrate.

I was asked to photograph this HSV GTSR W1, one of the last ever Australian built Holdens, only to find out last minute the owner would be bringing his gorgeous and immaculate FJ Utility, one of the earliest built Holdens. What an amazing pair of cars to have in your collection.

What’s even more special about this W1 is its chassis number. This is number 274 of 275, making it the last ever customer delivered Australian built Holden. Chassis number 275 was held onto by HSV for their personal collection.

The W1 is powered by a supercharged 6.2L LS9 V8 motor, putting down 474kw to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Even the sticky Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tyres find dealing with 815Nm of torque a challenging task.

Photographed for Prestige Classic Detailing.
